On Thursday, June 6th, the Varsity Baseball took on #3-ranked Northville in a MHSAA Regional Semi-Final game. The visiting Mustangs lived up to the hype surrounding them, as they defeated Lakeland, 6-0. Cam Chinvare had a double and Ryan had a single to pace the Eagles offense. This concludes the Eagles year with a 28 - 11 overall record, 19 - 4 in the LVC and a third straight MHSAA District Championship.
After the game, Coach Brad Farquhar announced that he was retiring from coaching high school baseball. During his most recent 10-year run, the program accumulated 9 championships, 252 wins and 111 losses including going 119 - 18 in the LVC these last six seasons. Saturday, June 1st, the Varsity Baseball team overcame a 5-run deficit in an MHSAA District Semi-Final game against Walled Lake Northern, going on to defeat the Knights in 14 innings, 7-6.
Nate Sanko earned the win on the mound going 7 innings in relief. Jake Sorvari earned the save. Bo Bishop and Joey Swartz had two hits apiece.
Last week, the Varsity Baseball team traveled to the "D" to take on Detroit Cass Tech, coming away with a 12 - 1 mercy shortened victory. Jack Miller earned the win throwing 1 1/3 innings in relief. Joey Swartz was 2 - 4 with 2 runs scored, Bordy Cutsinger was 1 - 2 w/RBI, Blake Loisel had a hit and an RBI and Jamey Sanderson added an RBI to pace the Eagles offense. Saturday, May 25th, the Varsity Baseball team played two games at Salem High School. The Eagles split the games, winning the second one, 10-5.

Jack Miller earned the win on the mound throwing a complete game shutout with 5K's. Ethan Yen went 2 - 2 with a walk Sean Latham went 1 - 1 with 2 walks including a triple and Brody Cutsinger scored three runs.

Tuesday, May 7th, the Varsity Baseball team beat Walled Lake Central, 7 - 0 in LVC action. Noah Hogle and Joey Swartz combined for the shutout on the mound striking out 7 while only surrendering 1 walk. At the plate, Adam Trzcinski walked three times, had 2 stolen bases and scored 2 runs. Ethan Yen, Bo Bishop, Sean Latham and Brody Cutsinger all had hits in the Eagles victory.
Game 2 was called because of darkness with LHS winning 1 - 0 in the top of the 4th. That game will be resumed today along with Game 3 of the series at WLC beginning at 4pm.

Nate Sanko earned the win on the mound, throwing four shutout innings striking out 3 in the mercy shortened contest. Brody Cutsinger was 3 - 4 with a walk and also had 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases. Cam Chinavare went 2 - 4 with 4 RBI, Joey Swartz and Bo Bishop were both 2 - 3 with 2 RBI. Jamey Sanderson, Blake Loisel (double) and Carter Travis (double) all had at least one hit and two RBI in the game as the Eagles collected 13 more hits in game 2.

The Varsity Baseball team kicked off its 2024 season by hosting a strong Rochester Adams team for two games on a beautify April Saturday. The Eagles split the doubleheader, winning the first game by a 7-4 score.
In the opener, Brady Culpepper earned the win on the mound for Lakeland. Vijay Karanth went 2-3, while Cam Chinavare, Bo Bishop, Joey Swartz, and Sean Latham also had hits in the game.
In the second game, Blake Loisel went 2-2 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks. Chinavare and Bishop each had 2 hits as well.
