Girls Varsity Basketball opens season with a 49-34 win over Holly; Molly Libby (15pts) and Jenna Baer (14pts) lead all scorers

HOLLY HIGH SCHOOL: 34
Last night, the Varsity Girls Basketball team opened its 2019-2020 season with a 49-34 victory over Holly. The Eagles got off to a hot start, leading 15-3 after the 1st Quarter, but Holly battled back, trailing by two points at halftime. However, the Eagles had a great second half to secure the win.
Sophomore Molly Libby led the way with 15 points, junior Jenna Baer had 14, sophomores Summer Ambler & Grace Goodnough each had 6, and senior Ally Lengers had 5.
The Eagles move to 1-0 on the season. The next game will be Tuesday, December 10th at home versus South Lyon East. They will play at 5:30pm, the early game in a girls-boys doubleheader.
