WALLED LAKE NORTHERN HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Eagles (10-1-1) kept possession of the Bogie Lake Cup by defeating Walled Lake Northern 6-1 this past Sunday.
The morning event found the in-rink rivals back on the lovely LIA gray rink. Northern drew first blood early in the first on an untimely turnover. But Lakeland rebounded quickly scoring two goals over the next few minutes and didn't look back.
Coach Ronayne "That's what we've been preaching. Mistakes happen but it's how we recover that's important. Our guys rallied and picked up their teammates."
Top D line pair Matthew Zaremba and Owen Arnold led the way with 3 assists each. Zaremba added a goal of his own while Cam Slicker netted two goals. Dylan Huebner, Nick Hrobsky and Will Petersmark all nabbed single goals thanks to an unselfish team forecheck mentality.
