The Huron Valley United Boys Swim & Dive team came out of winter break with their first LVC dual meet, on the road against South Lyon United on January, 11th. Out of 20 individual races, the team posted 15 personal bests and 5 season best times, including Oakland County Qualifying times by junior Brendan Marshall in the 100 Breaststroke, sophomore Tommy Shaw in the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke, sophomore Layton Armstrong in the 50 and 100 Free as well as senior Till Boneau in the 100 Fly and 100 Backstroke. Marshall also recorded his second state qualifying time of the season, swimming a personal best to win the 200 IM, and setting a new top mark in the LVC.

While the they swam fast, it was not enough for HVU overcome the hosts, as South Lyon brought home the victory.

This moved the teams record to 2-2 on the season, with their next meet also an LVC contest against Walled Lake United
