Saturday, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team won its first LVC meet of the season beating both Walled Lake Gold and Walled Lake Maroon. HVU scored a 139.125, WLG112.95 and WLM 118.775.
Top scores on vault were 9.75 from IA sophomore Maeve Spicer and 9.35 from Lakeland junior Nicole Graham. Top bar scores were Maeve with an 8.8 and Milford junior Laura Nowicki with an 8.6. Top beam score was Lakeland senior Rachel Palaian with a 9.1. Top floor scores were Nicole Graham with an 8.925 and Lakeland freshman Ava Barwikowski with an 8.6.
