The Huron Valley United Gymnastics Team placed 2nd at the Region 4 meet on Saturday and is heading to compete at the state meet for the 8th time in the last 10 years! 1st place was Farmington United who scored a 144.75, HVU-138.35 and Fraser is the 3rd place team who scored a 134.025.
Milford sophomore Stella Musialowski had an incredible competition placing 2nd in the All-around with a 36.5. She also placed 2nd on vault with a 9.3, 2nd on bars with a 9.25, 2nd on beam with a 9.55 and 7th on floor with a 8.4. She will be competing in the all-around competition next Saturday at Kenowa Hills in Grand Rapids.
We also have 5 other girls competing in the individual competition on Saturday. Milford senior Karli Bredernitz placed 4th on floor with an 8.775. Milford junior Sophia Stankov and Milford freshman Lexi Hincka tied for 6th on the vault with an 8.85. Lexi also placed on bars with an 8.25. On beam, Lakeland sophomore Kennedy Foote placed 2nd with a 9.0 and Milford junior Kaitlynn Elkins placed 5th with an 8.75.
The team is looking forward to an awesome weekend at the State Meet! Everyone will compete on Friday and the 6 individuals will compete on Saturday!

The Huron Valley United Gymnastics team had a great day at the LVC Conference Meet held in LInden on Saturday afternoon. Although the team fell a little short of winning the LVC to Linden (139.175-139.050) they earned their highest team score of the year, competed some new skills, earned many medals and had some personal best scores.
In the D1 category, Milford sophomore Stella Musialowski was the vault and bar champion and placed 2nd in beam, floor and all-around. Milford freshman Lexi Hincka was the D2 all around, vault (co-champ) and bar champion and placed 4th on floor. Lakeland sophomore Kennedy Foote had a great meet with a personal best of 9.15 on beam, she also placed on bars and floor and was 3rd all-around. Lakeland sophomore, Haylee Smith was second on vault and freshman Gabby Marino was 6th on vault. Milford junior Kaitlynn Elkins was 10th on bars and beam. Lakeland junior, Mckenna Herman placed on both bars and beam. All four of the seniors also contributed to our team score and earned medals. Milford Nora McCoy placed 6th on beam, Karli Bredernitz 5th on floor, IA's Sophie Smith was 9th on bars and Lakeland senior, Elaina Cotton was 8th on floor.
Next up is the Regional meet on March 2nd in Birmingham!

Eagles Lose: 136 - 137
Last night, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team posted its best score of the season. However, Lake Fenton was a tad bit better, outscoring HVU by 1 point to earn the victory, 137.05-136.05.
It was senior night and they celebrated their four seniors: Sophie Smith, Elaina Cotton, Nora McCoy and Karli Bredernitz. All of the seniors had a great meet including Karli Bredernitz achieving her goal of a 9.0 on floor

This past Saturday, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team hosted the biggest invite in the state with 20 teams. The team placed 9th with a solid team score.
Individual standouts: junior Sophia Stankov placed 9th on vault with a 8.95 and freshman Lexi Hincka tied for 2nd with a 9.1. Sophomore Stella Musialowski had an outstanding day placing 3rd in the all around with a 37.1. Her top score was a 9.465 on beam along with a 9.275 on floor, 9.4 on vault and an 8.95 on bars.

The Huron Valley United Gymnastics team competed against LVC rivals in a meet on Saturday. The HVU team came out victorious with a 134.925 score. Walled Lake Central/Western tallied a 125.5 and Walled Lake Northern had a 77.95.
Standouts at the meet were Milford sophomore, Stella Musialowski with a 9.225 on vault, 8.825 on bars, 9.3 on beam and a 9.075 on floor. Milford junior Sophia Stankov had an 8.8 on vault and a 8.3 on beam.
Next meet is in Holt on Tuesday before they host the 11th annual Jeanne Caruss Memorial Invite on Saturday, Jan. 27 at LHS.

Eagles Lose: 136 - 141
HVU Gymnastics started out 2024 strong with a meet against a very talented Hartland team. Hartland won with a score of 141.35, but HVU posted their highest score so far this season with a 136.80.
Top performers were Milford sophomore Stella Musialowski hitting all events and scoring a 9.425 on beam. Lakeland sophomore Kennedy Foote also did awesome and scored an 8.7 on beam. Milford freshman Lexi Hincka also competed in the all around and had an 8.9 on the vault. Milford senior Karli Bredernitz received an 8.775 on floor. Lakeland freshman Gabby Marino also had a great day with an 8.45 on vault.
The next meet is a tri meet against Cass City and Tecumseh on Jan. 16th at Bounce.
Girls Varsity Gymnastics places 4th at Walled Lake Invite; Mckenna Herman finishes 10th in All-Around

On Saturday, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team competed in the 16-team Walled Lake Invite at Walled Lake Central. The team took 4th place with a team score of 133.6, Northville took home the title with a 139.9.
Individually there were numerous medals won by HVU gymnasts. Milford sophomore Stella Musialowski tied for 2nd on beam and placed 3rd on bars in the D1 division. In the D2 division Milford junior Sophia Stankov tied for 2nd on the vault. Milford freshman Lexi Hincka placed 5th on vault, 8th on floor and 7th all-around.
Lakeland also had some gymnasts on the podium. Junior Mckenna Herman placed 4th on bars and 10th all-around. Sophomore Kennedy Foote placed 3rd on beam.
The team is off to a good start but will get a break till after the holidays when they take on a strong Hartland team on January 7th.

Friday night, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team took 2nd place at the Fowlerville Invite.
The Jackson team beat them by a point but they beat out Waterford United, Cass City, Tecumseh and the home Fowlerville team. Vault was a strong event with 5 gymnasts placing: Lakeland students Haylee Smith- 8th, Kennedy Foote and Gabby Marino tied for 6th, Milford student Lexi Hincka- 5th and 2nd place with a 9.05 Milford junior Sophia Stankov. Hincka also placed on bars and beam. Milford sophomore, Stella Musialowski had a great day on the two events she competed, coming away with 1st on both bars and beam, 8.7 and 9.1. Lakeland junior Mckenna Herman had a personal best on bars with a 7.9 and 6th place. Milford junior Kaitlynn Elkins had a personal best on beam with a 8.625 and 4th place. Milford senior Karli Bredernitz continues to be strong on floor with an 8.525 and 8th place.
Next weekend the team heads to Walled Lake Central for the Walled Lake Invite!
Huron Valley United Gymnastics team defeats Waterford United and West Bloomfield

The Huron Valley United Gymnastics Team got off to a great start by beating two LVC teams in their first league meet of the year. HVU team score was a 132.65, 2nd place went to Waterford United with a 112.225 and West Bloomfield a 90.725.
Leading the way for HVU on vault was MHS junior Sophia Stankov with an 8.9. A pair of freshman, Lexi Hincka and Gabby Marino followed right behind with 8.775 and 8.7. Bars was led by MHS sophomore Stella Musialowski with an 8.425 and LHS junior Mckenna Herman with a 7.85. The Milford girls rocked the beam today led by Stella Musialowski with an astounding 9.425. Following her were Nora McCoy with a personal best of 8.5 and Karli Bredernitz with an 8.1. Karli led the scores on floor with an amazing 8.6. The girls are on their way and excited for two more meets before Christmas in Fowlerville and Walled Lake.
Huron Valley United Gymnastics opens up season by hosting the Kick Off Classic

Last Saturday, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team opened its season by hosting 11 other teams at the 2nd annual Kick off Classic held at Lakeland High School. The primary goal of this competition was to provide gymnasts with an early-season opportunity to perform in front of judges.
Lakeland freshman Gabby Marino posted the highest vault score for the team with an 8.9. Milford sophomore Stella Musialowski posted the highest bar score with an 8.775. IA senior Sophie Smith earned the highest beam score with an 8.275 and Milford senior Kaarli Bredernitz had the highest floor score with an 8.875.
The team did a great job with such an early meet in the season.
