Saturday, the Girls Varsity Soccer team played its first game on the new turf field, hosting a strong Stoney Creek program.
Junior Karissa Welch scored early with an assist from senior Bella Koji (IA). The team had a strong first half with great saves throughout the game from freshman goalie Jessica Forbes. The deeper Stoney Creek team scored the next 4 goals, resulting in a 4-1 loss.
