In the opening round of the MHSAA state playoffs, the Girls Varsity Soccer team pushed Walled Lake Central to overtime before falling by a score of 3-2.  Lakeland's goals were scored by Ella Drap (assist from Savannah Herning) and Olivia Wells.

The loss brings the 2024 season to a close for the Eagles.

On Wednesday, May 15th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team played Walled Lake Western to a 1-1 tie, bringing the Eagles' regular season to an end.  Junior Olivia Wells scored on a free kick for Lakeland.

The Eagles' next game is the MHSAA District game on Wednesday May 22nd 5:00pm against WLC.  That game will be played at Lakeland.

In the second round of the LVC tournament, the Girls Varsity Soccer team continued its scoring struggles, falling to South Lyon, 1-0.

In the opening round of the LVC tournament last Thursday, May 9th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team lost to South Lyon East, 1-0.  

Tuesday, May 7th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team matched up against Walled Lake Northern.  In a game that ended early because of inclement weather, Lakeland lost to the Knights, 3-0.

The Eagles play again tonight, May 9th, as they host an opening round game in the LVC tournament.

Thursday, May 2nd, the Girls Varsity Soccer team hosted Milford in a game in which the visiting Mavericks had a chance to seal first place in the LVC. With that motivation, the visiting team played strong throughout the game, defeating Lakeland, 6-0.

The highlight of the night was the program's Senior Recognition, during which six Class of 2024 student-athletes were honored for their contributions over the past few years.  Congratulations to the following players:  Ella Drap, Amira Dziljaj, Kelsey Joiner, Nicole Marcelli, Molly Marino, and Stephanie Palaian.

Monday, April 29th, happened to be an off night for the Girls Varsity Soccer team, as the Eagles lost to Walled Lake Central, 5-0.  Despite playing with good energy, Lakeland was unable to gain any momentum in the game.

Now, Lakeland moves forward with a big game scheduled for this Thursday.  The Eagles will be hosting Milford, and the program will be honoring its Class of 2024 Senior Class before the game.  Those festivities start at 5:45, with the game starting at 6:00pm.

Thursday, April 25th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team earned a 6-0 victory over South Lyon, improving their record to 4-0-1 in the LVC and 7-2-1 overall.

Ella Drap scored the first goal off the game with an assist from Leah Willis. Cailyn Milewski scored the second goal of the first half off a beautiful cross from Emery Collick. In the second half of the game, the Eagles turned up the intensity scoring 4 more goals starting with Olivia Wells off a great pass from Geneva Willis. Emery Collick had a second assist of the game giving a pass to Molly Marino for a one touch finish just outside the box and then Emery went on to score of a pass from Ella Drap.  Then finishing our high scoring game was Cailyn Milewski for her second goal of the game after getting an assist from Silvia Drap.  Goalkeeper Audrey Buehner earned her fourth shut out of the season. 

The Eagles will host Walled Lake Central on Monday April 29th at 6:00pm

Tuesday, April 23rd, the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to South Lyon East for another LVC match-up.  It was one of those games with an outcome that only happens in soccer -- the teams tied, 0-0.

Audrey Buehner had the shutout in goal for Lakeland.

Saturday, April 20th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Orchard Lake St.Mary's on a chilly and windy day for a matinee match-up against the Eaglets.  Lakeland was unable to make the journey a winning one, falling by a score of 4-1.

Hayden Schmidt scored the lone goal for the Eagles.

Thursday, the Girls Varsity team continued its hot start to the season, defeating Waterford Kettering, 1-0.

Emery Collick scored the only goal of the game for the Eagles with an assist from Savannah Herning. Goalkeeper Audrey Beuhner earned her second shutout of the season.

The win improved Lakeland's record to 3-0 in the LVC and 6-1 overall. The Eagles travel to St Mary’s Prep on Saturday April 20th.

Tuesday, April 16th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team earned a 6-1 victory over Waterford Mott, improving their record to 2-0 in the LVC and 5-1 overall.

Emery Collick started off the goal scoring for the Eagles less than 4 minutes into the game with an assist from Silvia Drap. In the second half, the goals just kept coming with Ella Drap scoring off a pass from Olivia Wells, with Wells then scoring a perfect header goal off a corner kick from Collick. Later, Collick scored her second goal of the game off a pass from Cailyn Milewski. Besides the multiple great saves from keeper Audrey Beuhner the entire game, the highlight was seeing freshman Olivia Bragg get subbed in with less than 8 minutes left in the game to score her first goal of her high school varsity career within 2 minutes of a pass from Olivia Wells . Then she scored another goal with only a minute and a half left in the game off a tip from Hayden Schmidt.  

The Eagles host Waterford Kettering on Thursday, April 18th.

Friday, the Girls Varsity Soccer team played in miserable weather, with a cold rain and extreme wind making for less than ideal playing conditions.  But, the Eagles shook off the inclement weather and earned their 4th win of the season, defeating Farmington, 3-2.

Lakeland scorers included Ella Drap, Olivia Wells (assist from Leah Willis), and Nicole Marcelli (assist by Ella Drap).

The Eagles hope to keep the wins coming as they play at home next week -- 4/16 vs Waterford Mott and 4/18 vs Waterford Kettering!

Thursday, April 11th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 1-0 victory over Walled Lake Western.

Hayden Schmidt scored the lone goal of the game.  Audrey Buehner earned her first career shutout in goal.

The win moves the Eagles to 1-0 in LVC action.  Lakeland returns to the pitch on Friday night when they host Farmington at 6pm.

The Girls Varsity Soccer team went to Notre Dame Prep on April 9th in hopes to get their third win of the season, but fell short with a 1-0 loss. Lady Eagles dominated the game and only allowed NDP to sneak in 1 goal in the first half. The team fought hard mentally and physically for 80 minutes in this fast paced aggressive game but just couldn’t get one in the back of the net.

Friday, April 5th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season with a solid 5-1 victory over North Farmington. Nicole Marcelli scored 2 goals with assists from Stephanie Palaian and Ella Drap. Junior Emery Collick scored with assist from Silvia Drap, Savannah Herning scored with assist from Silvia Drap, and Olivia Wells scored a goal. 

On Thursday, April 4th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team opened up the 2024 season with a 2-1 win over Holly.  Seniors Ella Drap and Nicole Marcelli each scored and goal while assisting on the other goal. Goalie Audrey Beuhner earned her first varsity win in the net.
