Boys Varsity Lacrosse defeats Fenton, 11-10

Eagles Win: 11 - 10
The final week of play for the 2024 Boys Varsity Lacrosse season concluded with a thrilling game that kept fans on the edge of their seats! The HV Titans triumphed over Fenton with a final score of 11-10. The Titans started strong, but Fenton made it a close contest. HVU secured the victory late in the fourth quarter with a well-earned effort.
 
Sawyer Wright led the charge with an impressive 6 goals, followed by Elliott Smith and Dean Ernst, who each contributed 2 goals. Bryce Martin was pivotal with 6 assists, while Brandon White added 2 assists. Sawyer Wright, Dean Ernst, and Colin Duffany each chipped in with 1 assist.
 
Overall, it was a fantastic season with significant development among the boys, setting the stage for a very competitive 2025 season!

Eagles Lose: 10 - 13
Friday, May 10th, the Huron Valley United Boys Varsity Lacrosse team had a late afternoon drive to Holt for a game that ended with a final score of Holt 13, HV Titans 10.
The game was exciting... like the golden glow of the afternoon sun, our team radiated confidence and determination. Leading the charge was Sawyer Wright, showcasing his skills with an impressive tally of 5 goals. Brandon White added to the excitement with 2 goals of his own, while Jacob Grant, Dean Ernst, and Elliott Smith each contributed 1, demonstrating the team's depth.  Ernst and Colin Duffany provided crucial assists.
The Titans play games this Monday vs. Fenton at Lakeland HS and a closing away game in Grand Blanc on Wednesday.

Eagles Lose: 5 - 11

Friday, May 3rd, the Huron Valley United Boys Varsity Lacrosse team hosted U of D Jesuit. It was a competitive match-up for the bulk of the game, with the visiting Cubs scoring 4 goals in the final 5 minutes to lengthen their margin of victory to 11-5.

A standout performance by goalie Nathan Falk undoubtedly bolstered the defense. Bryce Martin netted 2 goals, while Sawyer Wright demonstrated remarkable skill with 2 goals and 2 assists. Additionally, William Edie Sabuda contributed 1 goal and 2 assists, further solidifying the offensive play.

Senior night served as a tribute to our graduating players, who have shown dedication and leadership throughout their time with the team: Elliott Smith, Enzo Santia, Noah Matice, Matthew Eblen, Renzo Santia, Michael Vanderwill (out of town for the game), Jordan Brooke, Nathan Falk, and Ben Barckholtz.

On Wednesday, April 17th, the Huron Valley United Boys Varsity Lacrosse team played Walled Lake Northern passed a significant challenge to our HV Titans, and despite their efforts, victory eluded them. Walled Lake emerged with a strong performance, maintaining relentless pressure throughout the match. Noteworthy was Sawyer Wright's outstanding offensive display, netting an impressive 5 goals for the Titans. Bryce Martin followed closely with 3 goals, while William Edie Sabuda contributed 2. Although the final score favored Walled Lake Northern 17 to HV Titans 10, the team's individual accomplishments were impressive.

As the chilly season persists, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team encounters obstacles. However, the team is demonstrating growth. In a recent match against Walled Lake Western, our Huron Valley Titans showcased determination despite the tough competition. Bryce Martin netted the opening goal, with additional contributions from Sawyer Wright, William Edie Sabuda, and Brandon White. Although the final score favored Walled Lake Western 12 to HV Titans 5, the Titans' efforts were commendable.

On a chilly Friday, April 5th evening, the stadium lights lit up the field as the Huron Valley United Boys Varsity Lacrosse team engaged in a spirited match. Ultimately, Dexter prevailed, winning by a score of 11-7.

Goals were notched by Elliott Smith, Brandon White, Dean Ernst, Bryce Martin, William Edie-Sabuda, and a notable brace from Colin Duffany with 2 goals. Adding to the excitement, Brandon White and William Edie-Sabuda demonstrated their playmaking abilities with three assists each, while Cash Diaz contributed with another. The Titans' dedication and teamwork highlights the promise of victories to come.

Last week, the sun cast its warm glow, yet a brisk breeze swept through the air as the Huron Valley Titans Boys Varsity Lacrosse team stepped onto the field for their home opener. Despite the influx of new faces on the team, they showcased their prowess, netting a total of 7 goals. Bryce Martin led the charge with 2 impressive goals, while Elliot Smith, William Edie-Sabuda, Jacob Grant, and Dean Ernst each contributed with a goal apiece. The final score stood at Adams 10, HV 6, but the Titans' determination and promising performance left a mark of anticipation for the season ahead.
