The JV Girls Basketball team got back to league play on Tuesday night vs South Lyon East. The Eagles struggled to generate offense on the night and lost to the Cougars, 39-24. Haley Aberlich led the way with 9 points, Joclyn Parker had 5 points, and Anna Linen chipped in 4 points on the night.

Last Friday, the Lakeland Girls JV Basketball team opened the new year with a win on the road vs Pinckney, 37-32. The Eagles played tough, physical defense throughout and came up with some key buckets down the stretch to get the win. Leading the way was Claire Linen with 13 points, Anna Linen with 10 points, and Leah Willis and Haley Aberlich chipped in 6 points each.

Monday night, the JV girls basketball team hosted OLSM in a non-conference game and came away with an impressive 36-21 win. The Eagles did a great job executing on the offensive end as 9 different players scored during the game. Leading the way was Joclyn Parker with 7 points. Haley Aberlich had 6 points, Peyton Baer scored 5 points, and Maddie Kammer, Claire Linen, and Molly Farquhar each chipped in 4 points on the night.

Eagles Lose: 23 - 29
On Tuesday, December 13th, the JV girls basketball competed against their Bogie Lake Road rival, Walled Lake Northern. The Eagles battled throughout the game but came up short in the end, 29-23. The Knights outscored the Eagles 12-3 during the 3rd quarter as the Eagles struggled to score. Leading the way for Lakeland was Peyton Baer with a game high of 14 points. Molly Farquhar chipped in 3 points for the Eagles.

Two weeks ago, the JV girls basketball team went on the road to face conference opponent, Walled Lake Central, and came home with a 44-12 win. Behind some great full court pressure in the first half by the Eagles, they jumped out to a commanding 27-3 halftime lead. Leading the way for the Eagles was Peyton Baer with 9 points. Leah Willis scored 7 points on the night, Anna Linen had 6 points, and Haley Aberlich chipped in 5 points.

Tuesday, the JV Girls Basketball team, behind a dominant second half, defeated Waterford Mott, 46-6. The JV team also used a balanced attack as 11 different players scored. Leading the way was Anna Linen with 11 points, Peyton Baer with 9 points, and Aly Dahm with 6 points.

Eagles Lose: 17 - 44
The Girls JV Basketball team opened its season against a challenging Northville team. Despite jumping out to a quick 4-0 lead, the Eagles struggled for most of the game, eventually losing 44-17. Leading the way for the Eagles were freshmen Maddie Kammer, Peyton Baer, and Aly Dahm with 4 points each in the loss.
