Tuesday, May 21st, a number of Lakeland student-athletes competed in the Girls Track 9th Grade Oakland County Meet. Several Eagles finished in the top 8 of their event to earn medals.
As a team, the Girls finished 18th.

Friday, May 17th, the Girls Track team competed in the MHSAA Regional at Milford, vying for an opportunity to compete in the State Meet held at East Kentwood H.S. on Saturday, June 1st.

Last Friday, the Girls Track team competed in the LVC Championship Meet. The Girls Eagles placed 6th overall. Junior Ava Alicandro was the lone student-athlete to earn the title of LVC Champion, taking first place in the 3200m run with a time of 11:23.56.

This past weekend, the Girls Track and Field team sent its 9th and 10th grade athletes to compete in the 9th and 10th Invitational at Fenton HS. Lakeland finished 4th overall, with many competitors hitting new PRs and bringing home medals.

Saturday, May 4th, the Girls Track and Field team sent several athletes to compete in the prestigious Farmington Invitational. The top finisher at the meet was senior Skylar Halbrook who took 6th in the discus with a throw of 114'9". Ava Alicandro finished 11th in the 3200m race with a time of 11:21.61, and Natalie Joiner placed 32nd in the 1600m race with a time of 5:42.84.
Tuesday, April 16th, the Girls Track and Field team competed against Waterford Mott and Walled Lake Western in a very tough dual meet. The Eagles defeated Waterford Mott and lost to WL Western.
