Last Friday, the Girls Track program had several athletes compete in the Oakland County Championship meet held at Oxford High School. Sophomore Ava Alicandro earned the only medal for the Eagles. On Tuesday, May 23rd, several Girls Track team members competed in the 9th Grade Oakland County meet held at Milford High School.  Olivia Kalhorn was the lone Eagle to medal, posting a PR in the 400m dash and finishing 8th overall. This past Saturday, our 9th/10th Boys and Girls Track athletes competed in the 39th annual Sunshine Invitational. The Girls did a fantastic job by placing 2nd out of 6 teams, and also took home a runner-up trophy! The Boys placed 4th, and there were PRs and the group as a whole took home a lot of medals. On Saturday, April 29th, the Girls Track team competed at the Oxford Invitational.  The Eagles finished 13th. On Thursday, April 20th, the Girls Track team competed against Milford and Waterford Kettering, coming away with a win against Kettering and a loss to Milford. The Eagles had the best dual meet of the year so far scoring high in multiple events. Results from the meet are below: Girls: Kennedy Hudson (Sr) took 2nd in the 100m with a time of 13.86 Natalie Hoyer (Sr) took 2nd in the 400m with a time of 1:04.66 Ava Walsh (Sr) took 3rd in the 800m with a time of 2:28.83, while also placing 3rd in the 1600m with a time of 5:35.20. On Tuesday, April 11th, the Girls Track team hosted its only meet of the 2023 season, honoring its Class of 2023 Seniors before going on to defeat Waterford Mott (and losing to Waterford Mott). The Eagles defeated Waterford Mott 100-33, and they lost to Walled Lake Western 78-54. First place efforts against both teams: Elena Hale-100m hurdles, Audrey Robinson-long jump, Kennedy Hudson-100m, Elena Hale-300m hurdles, 1600m relay First place efforts against one team: 3200m Relay, Lydia Henry-pole vault, 800m Relay, Kelsey Joiner-1600m, 400m Relay, Natalie Hoyer-400m, Skylar Halbrook-discus, Ava Walsh-800m, Ava Alicandro-3200m

Today, the Girls Track team saw its first action of the 2023 season, participating in the Novi Relays. The Eagles finished 6th overall.
