Boys Junior Varsity Football takes care of Bogie Lake Rd. business, beating Walled Lake Northern, 35-3

Eagles Win: 35 - 3
Last night, the JV Football won its Battle of Bogie Lake contest, defeating Walled Lake Northern by a score of 35-3.
Sam Broome (Fr), who is not the biggest player on the field, showed the biggest heart running for 2 touchdowns and was consistently a hard target to bring down for the Knights. Josh Fitzgerald (Soph) ran for 1 touchdown before halftime. QB Carter Travis (Fr) secured some big runs for the Eagles including a 45-yard touchdown on the first offensive series. Dylan Mahaney (Soph) scored Lakeland's final touchdown of the game. On the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles also shined, highlighted by sophomore Brian Townsend's 3 interceptions.
Lakeland JV Football moves to 4-2 and will face South Lyon East next Thursday.

Eagles Win: 33 - 12
Thursday, the JV Football team returned to its home field for a matchup against Waterford Mott. The Eagles played well, earning a convincing 33-12 win over the Corsairs.
QB Carter Travis played sensationally, scoring 2 touchdowns to help Lakeland go up at halftime, 19-6. Sam Broome took on Mott's defense with a 40-yd touchdown run along with a second touchdown run in the 3rd. Dylan Mahaney performed well with a touchdown run along with some great tackles playing safety on defense as well.
The team, currently 3-1 on the season, will host South Lyon this Thursday.
