Thursday, the Boys JV Basketball team jumped out to a big lead against Waterford Kettering, eventually defeating the visiting Captains, 53-15. Numerous players scored buckets in what was the final home game of the season for the Eagles.
The JV team completes its season with a road game at Walled Lake Western this upcoming Friday.

Grant Thompson and Dylan Hamel led the way for the Eagles by scoring 11 points each. Dylan Perinoff added 6 points.
The team returns to action with a home match-up against Milford on Friday, February 9th.

Friday, the Boys JV Basketball team fell to the 3-point shooting magic of Walled Lake Central, 44-33.
In the game, it seemed the Eagles were forever trading 2-point baskets for 3-point baskets, and that allowed the visiting Vikings to maintain a lead throughout the game. Austin Porcasi led the Eagles with 13 points, while Grant Thompson added 7 points.
The team has 2 games next week: at Waterford Mott on Tuesday, and home versus Milford on Thursday.

Friday, the Boys JV Basketball used a late flurry of 3-pointers to run away from Walled Lake Western, defeating the Warriors, 48-32.
In the 4th quarter, the Eagles saw three different players knock down four 3-pointers. Grant Thompson had two of those on his way to 12 points for the game. Landon Johns also made one on his way to 9 points for the game. Ethan Rowley added 8 points for Lakeland.

Tuesday, the Boys JV Basketball team played in a high-scoring game, and despite putting up 52 points of their own, the Eagles still fell short, losing to South Lyon, 60-52.
Chase Carson knocked down several 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 17 points. Ethan Rowley added 12 points and Gavin Johns chipped in with 9 points.
The team will take the court again next week, this time at Walled Lake Northern.

During the first couple of weeks of January, the Boys JV Basketball team had its first meeting of the year with Milford. On this occasion, the home Mavericks got the win, defeating the Eagles, 47-41.
Chase Carson had 12 points for Lakeland, while Austin Porcasi (9 pts) and Zach Nelson (8 pts) also finished among the top scorers.

Tuesday, the Boys JV Basketball team fell to a hot-shooting Waterford Mott team, 69-44. It was a 1-point Lakeland lead late in the 2nd quarter before Mott went on a 13-1 run to end the half. The Corsairs' offense only got hotter in the 2nd half on the way to the win.
The Eagles were led by Grant Thompson (8 pts), Dylan Perinoff (6 pts), and Adam Ballard (6 pts).
Lakeland returns to the court on Friday with a game at Walled Lake Central.

The Eagles were led by Dylan Hamel's 16 points, Grant Thompson's 10 points, and Jacob Sorvari's 6 points.

Last night marked the season opener for the Boys Basketball program, and the Eagles traveled to Holly for games at all three levels.
The JV team defeated Holly, 45-31. Lakeland was led by Dylan Hamel's 13 points, Dylan Perinoff with 9 and Grant Thompson had 7.
JV goes to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles will host Hartland this Friday.
