Boys Varsity Volleyball defeats Milford and Clarkston

Thursday, April 10th, the Boys Volleyball team hosted cross-town rivals Milford and Clarkston. First up were the Mavericks. Lakeland took Milford in two quick sets, winning 25-7 and 25-7. Zach Dobrin and Derek Varga had some long serving runs that had the Mavericks on their heels. Fisher Demarest, Gabe Scott, and Mark Choma added some points to the scoreboard that led to the victory.
Next up, were the more experienced Clarkston Wolves. Clarkston came out with passion and a will to win, but the Eagles persevered and won in two sets 25-18 and 25-13. Zach Dobrin tallied up the assists and a handful of service aces. As usual, Jacob Valenton led the back row defense to keep the Eagles on the offensive. The outside hitters stacked the kills on the stat sheet. Jacob Dobrin (7), Derek Varga (5), and Eli Yen (3). Dennis Rozhko and Dylan Darby had a good run of serves. Middle Blocker, Harrison Vivier, lit up the crowd with a monster spike off the three meter line!
The Eagles face conference rivals Waterford Kettering and Walled Lake Northern on Tuesday, April 15th at Kettering.
