Girls Varsity Snowboardcross team finishes 2nd at State Meet; senior Marin Ponitz takes 2nd in Individual race

Friday, the Girls Snowboardcross team competed in the State Finals. Competitions determined Individual Champions as well as Team Champions.
In the Team competition, the Girls placed 2nd in a very close race, finishing with 3199 points to trail only Pinckney's 3280 points.
In the Individual competition, senior Marin Ponitz finished 2nd in state for the Girls. Results for the other Lakeland competitors (top 32 from Time Trials moved on): Sophia Shaw qualified 8th - Competed through to the Quarter Finals; Rylee Parton qualified 12th; Brynn Diehl qualified 16th.
