The LHS BOys Snowboard Cross team had its first race of the season Thursday evening at Alpine Ski Valley. The night’s races were for the individual varsity bracket where all riders from competing schools compete against each other individually to gain points that accumulate over the season.
Varsity riders Brady Roy, Xander Gillert, and Aiden Boyd all had at least one 1st place finish. Gillert made it through to the semi-finals where he was eliminated just shy of the finals.
Making it through four heats with three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish, rider Brady Roy made his way to the big final heat where he placed 3rd overall out of 65 riders!
The LHS Snowboard Cross team will take on the hill again on Tuesday, January 23rd at Alpine Ski Valley for the team bracket races.
