Tuesday, January 7th, the Girls Ski team opened up its season with races against West Bloomfield and Walled Lake United.  The Eagles earned a split for the day, beating Walled Lake United and falling to West Bloomfield.

Girls' Team Performance vs. West Bloomfield

• Tori Jamieson: Tori was the standout for the girls, finishing 4th with times of 22.13 on red and 22.85 on blue, giving her a combined time of 44.98 seconds, racing at 27 MPH.
• Layla Kohr: Layla finished 5th overall with a combined time of 46.14 seconds.
• Brighton Leder: Brighton had a commendable performance, finishing 8th with a combined time of 47.00 seconds.
• Gwen Mazzara: Gwen secured 9th place with a time of 47.86 seconds.
• Breslin Scott: Breslin finished 10th with a combined time of 48.82 seconds.
• McKenzie Gallmore: McKenzie placed 11th with a combined time of 51.48 seconds.
• Rachel Rossetti: Rachel ended in 14th place with a combined time of 1:10.15.
• Juliana Henry: Juliana had a promising start but struggled on her second run, ending in 15th place with a combined time of 1:14.80.

The Lakeland Girls took 2nd place with 26.0 points, adding to their mixed record for the season.

• Tori Jamieson: Tori led with a 1st place finish, her times summing up to 44.98 seconds, racing at 27 MPH.
• Layla Kohr: Layla tied for 2nd with a combined time of 46.14 seconds.
• Brighton Leder: Brighton finished 4th overall with a time of 47.00 seconds.
• Gwen Mazzara: Gwen secured 5th place with a time of 47.86 seconds.
• Breslin Scott: Breslin placed 7th with a combined time of 48.82 seconds.
• McKenzie Gallmore: McKenzie finished 8th with a time of 51.48 seconds.
• Rachel Rossetti: Rachel ended in 13th place with a combined time of 1:10.15.
• Juliana Henry: Juliana showed resilience, though finishing 14th with a combined time of 1:14.80.

The Lakeland Girls shone brightly, taking 1st place with 12.5 points, improving their record to 1-1.
