Last Thursday was a beautiful day for our Region 3 Championships at Alpine Valley, the state qualifier race! Our Eagle skiers gave it their all and represented Lakeland so well. The Girls team came close to qualifying for states, but just missed with a 4th place overall 14 teams in the race. 

Two of our Lady Eagles had top ten finishes and qualify as individuals for the D1 State Final at Nub's Nob on Feb 22. Sophomore Molly Lynch had an amazing day in slalom and took the Silver Medal 2nd, and also had 8th in GS. Senior Captain Brooke White took 4th in GS after laying down the fastest first run. Other top skiers for the Girls were sophomore Mahana Gallmeyer with a 26th in sl and 27 in GS, freshman Jessica Jamieson and junior Chloe Saleeby.

The Girls team heads to the SEMSL Championships on Feb 16 at Alpine Valley, where the top 3 teams in each of the four local hill divisions compete for the Southeast Michigan Ski League title.
