This past Friday and Saturday, the Lakeland Girls Ski Team kicked off the race season at Boyne Mountain at the Northville Invite. The girls, competing with only 6 racers, finished 3rd.

The top finishers were junior Brooke White (1st GS, 3rd SL), freshman Molly Lynch (1st SL & 3rd GS), freshman Natalie Hoyer (7th Slalom), and freshman Mahana Gallmeyer (15th GS).

This week Lakeland was scheduled to race Brother Rice/Marian and Hartland on Tuesday and Wednesday, but that race has been postponed until Feb 4, due to the lack of snow with the warm weather. Jan 14 & 15, Lakeland will take on WLC, WLW, and W. Bloom. at Alpine Valley beginning at 4:30 pm.
