Tuesday, January 7th, the Boys Ski team opened up its season with races against West Bloomfield and Walled Lake United. Brock Vinter had a great day on the slopes, taking 1st place out of all three teams, but the Eagles' grouping of skiiers came after the opponents' grouping, thus resulting in two losses.
Against West Bloomfield:
- Brock Vinter: Brock was the star performer, setting the best time of the day on the blue course with 20.07 seconds. He finished 1st overall with a combined time of 40.68 seconds, reaching speeds of 30 MPH.
- Joe Howie: Joe added valuable points to the team's score, finishing 5th with a combined time of 45.39 seconds.
- Max Heger: Max had a solid performance, securing 6th place with a time of 46.15 seconds.
- Brock Boyd: Brock finished 7th overall with a combined time of 46.36 seconds.
- Kalen Scott: Kalen placed 9th with a combined time of 48.26 seconds.
- Gabe Scott: Gabe finished 10th with a combined time of 50.00 seconds.
- Quinton Mazzara: Quinton rounded out the team with an 11th place finish and a time of 54.41 seconds.
Despite strong individual performances, the Lakeland Boys clinched 2nd place overall with 19.0 points in a close contest but fell short of the win.
Against Walled Lake United:

- Brock Vinter: Brock continued his stellar run, setting the pace on the blue course with 20.07 seconds, leading to another 1st place finish at 40.68 seconds combined, at 30 MPH.
- Joe Howie: Joe finished 7th overall with a combined time of 45.39 seconds.
- Max Heger: Max secured 9th place with a time of 46.15 seconds.
- Brock Boyd: Brock finished 10th with a combined time of 46.36 seconds.
- Kalen Scott: Kalen placed 12th with a combined time of 48.26 seconds.
- Gabe Scott: Gabe finished 13th with a combined time of 50.00 seconds.
- Quinton Mazzara: Quinton ended in 15th place with a time of 54.41 seconds.
The Lakeland Boys secured 2nd place again with 27.0 points, but did not secure a victory, keeping their record at 0-2.
