The Lakeland Boys Ski Team had its first race on the home snow at Alpine Valley Tuesday (Slalom race) and Wednesday (GS race) against Walled Lake Central, Western and West Bloomfield. Despite the warm weather and slushy snow, the Eagles came out and skied hard taking victories home against all three teams. Final scores were LHS 30 WB 47, LHS 29 WLC 48, and LHS 20 WLW 69.

Top Eagle skiers for the boys team were senior Zach Massey (3rd overall in 10 team field in slalom), senior Shane Herning (9th overall in GS), junior Tyson Lovejoy, senior Brendan Ploucha, and junior Jack Percy.

Next week the Ski Team takes on Novi and Walled Lake Northern on Jan 21 & 22 at Alpine Valley beginning at 4:30 pm.
