Friday, April 16th the JV Softball team competed against Lake Orion. The JV team defeated Lake Orion in 2 games 8-3 and 14-2.

In the first game, Lakeland JV got things started in the first inning. Lakeland Eagles JV took the lead for good with one run in the the third inning. In the third Kyra Mears singled on a 3-1 count, scorning one run. Kellie Mueller was the winning pitcher lasting six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking our nine and walking zero. Lakeland Eagles JV tallied ten hits with Mueller, Maddy Kaspor and Allison Day all managing multiple hits. Lakeland Eagles JV tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases, with Emma Benton leading the way with three.

In the second game Lakeland JV fired up the offense in the first inning. Allison Day drove in four on two hits to lead the Eagles past Lake Orion 14-2, she drove in runs on a single in the first and a double in the second. Maddie Borders grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in a run. Allison Day was the winning pitcher going four innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out nine. Lakeland Eagles JV totaled eight hits in the game. Allison Day, Emma Benton, and Kellie Mueller each managed multiple hits. Lakeland Eagles JV had 13 stolen bases with Gianna Kidder leading the way with three.
