Game #1: Lakeland Eagles JV Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Milford

The Eagles snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory. The game was tied at one with The Eagles batting in the top of the seventh when Madison Bowron doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. The pitching was strong on both sides. Kaylee Philipon struck out nine, while Milford pitchers sat down one. Philipon got the start for The Eagles. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out nine and walking zero. Philipon led The Eagles with two hits in three at bats. The Eagles didn't commit a single error in the field. McKenna Bergman had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Game #2: Kira Mears Drives In Four To Seal Lakeland Eagles JV's Victory Over Milford

Four runs batted in from Kira Mears helped lead The Eagles past Milford 17-7 on Thursday. Mears drove in runs on a walk in the second and a home run in the third. The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. The Eagles collected 18 hits and Milford had 16. The Eagles pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second, Kaylee Philipon homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Mears drew a walk, scoring one run, and Leah Kidder singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Madison Bowron led things off on the rubber for The Eagles. She lasted five innings, allowing 16 hits and seven runs while striking out two. The Eagles launched two home runs on the day. Philipon had a four bagger in the second inning. Mears went for the long ball in the third inning.  Philipon, Bowron, McKenna Finnegan, Jacklyn Higgins, Kidder, and Mears all managed multiple hits for The Eagles.
