Wednesday, the Huron Valley Girls Varsity Lacrosse team competed in the opening round of the MHSAA tournament, defeating Walled Lake Central 19-4.

The Titan defense led by captain Jordyn Sienkiewicz, was dominant with multiple forced turnovers by Alex Petrusha, Sabrina Girardi, and Mati Sardi. The net was shared by senior Madeline Hare and sophomore Amelia Mason, both with huge saves for the evening to keep the Titans' momentum going.

The Titan offense dominated the field with the Titan Trio of Emily Prell, Jenna Hoppe, and Veronica Ricci at midfield winning of 75% of draws. 36 seconds into the game, Emily's goal got the Titans off to a great start. Scoring for the Titans Jenna Hoppe (5 goals/1 assist), Veronica Ricci (4 goals 1 assist), Ashley Spangler (4 goals), Emily Prell (3 goals/3 assists), and Casey Meadows, Sydney Pattinson and Abigail Hrobsky with 1 goal each.

The girls advance to the next round on June 1st at 5pm at Fenton High School.
