Thursday, April 3rd, the Girls Varsity Tennis team opened its season hosting Hartland. On a very windy day that made playing conditions less than desirable, the visiting Eagles prevailed, defeating Lakeland, 7-2.

Junior Bre Azzopardi had an incredible match at No. 2 singles, defeating her opponent in straight sets. Freshman Clara Bronka made her Varsity debut and secured a victory after losing the first set but rallying to win the next two. The No. 2 doubles team of Leanna Yen and Madeline Bergemoser battled back after losing the first set but ultimately fell in a hard-fought third-set tiebreaker.
