The Lakeland Girls Varsity Tennis team played in its first tournament of the season battling against some of the toughest competition in the annual Brighton Quad tournament. Our talented players gave it their all and emerged with a third place finish.

Our Court 1 and Court 2 singles players, Mireia Garrigo and Alexis Guenther, brought home the silver with their outstanding performances. The powerhouse doubles team of Dani Pop and Gabbi Putrus dominated their opponents in a thrilling 3rd set tie breaker to secure their own silver medal. The unstoppable Court 1 doubles team of Sunny Bikki and Ava Assante took down the favored Portage Central in straight sets and claimed the coveted gold medal. The entire team played their hearts out and left everything on the court - making this opening tournament an unforgettable triumph for Lakeland Tennis!
