On Thursday, April 17th, the Eagles bounced back with two offense-driven wins over Clarkston: LHS 14 CHS 7 and LHS 18 CHS 2

In Game One, Lakeland put up 3 runs in the second, 4 runs in the fourth and 4 runs in the sixth to defeat Clarkston. The defense was much better as the Eagles had no errors on the day. The bats were on fire, pounding out 20 hits. Izzy Bedini (Triple, Double) had 4 hits, Brynn Taliercio (Double) had 3 hits, Paige Ambler (Double), Piper Huff and Aubrey VanGoethem each had two hits. Emily Searle, Zoie Gagnon and Emilee Dostal each had one hit. Melina Wing went the distance for the win, giving up 11 hits, walking 3 and striking out 6.

In Game Two, Lakeland made quick work of game 2, putting up 18 runs in 3 innings in a shortened run-ruled game. The Eagles got contributions from three freshmen, Emma Hewitt, Noelle O'Dowd and Izzi Vacca. Hewitt and O'Dowd each had home runs. Hewitt drove in 3 and O'Dowd drove in 2. Vacca singled in a run. Zoie Gagnon had the big bat for the Eagles going 2 for 3 with 5 RBI's. One of Gagnon's hits was a monster home run that cleared the 200 foot fence by at least 25 feet. Emily Searle went 3 for 3 with a double and RBI. Alyssa Goldman, Brynn Taliercio and Aubrey VanGoethem each had a couple hits. Izzy Bedini, Emilee Dostal and Piper Huff rounded out the hitting attack with a hit a piece. Meredith Peterson pitched a strong game giving up 3 hits, walking 0 and striking out 3.
