Lakeland Splits a doubleheader with #3 ranked South Lyon
In game one, both teams were strong in the circle but the South Lyon pitcher was a little bit stronger. The Eagles managed only one hit on the day, a single by Izzy Bedini. Kellie Mueller pitched 6 strong innings, surrendering two runs in five hits and striking out five. Final score: South Lyon 2 Lakeland 0
Game two was almost a carbon copy of game one but the Eagles were able to defeat South Lyon 2-1. Haley Stein was dominant in the circle, going seven innings, giving up two hits and one run while striking out three. Nathalie Hagle, Paige Ambler, Maddie Borders and, Brynn Taliercio each had hits for the Eagles. Borders and Ambler each had an RBI.
