Girls Varsity Soccer loses in last two minutes at Waterford Kettering; Eagles fall, 2-1

On Tuesday, April 22nd, the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Waterford Kettering. The two teams were very well matched and the Eagles showed great effort on both sides of the ball. Kettering opened up the scoring with eight minutes left in the first half, scoring off an earned free kick. The Eagles offense kept up the pressure, earning themselves a corner kick with 20 minutes left in the game. Emery Collick sent a picture perfect corner kick into the box that Hayden Schmidt knocked into the back of the net to tie up the game 1-1. The Eagles continued to pressure offensively and hold a tight back line, but with two minutes left in the game Kettering was able to break free and score the final goal of the game, defeating the Eagles 2-1.
Later this week, the Eagles will host South Lyon East on Thursday, April 24th at 6pm and travel to Farmington on Friday, April 25th.
