On Monday, April 14th, the Girls Varsity Soccer team hosted Walled Lake Western in their third LVC matchup of the season. 

The Eagles started strong and opened up the scoring 20 minutes into the first half when Hayden Schmidt carried the ball down, passing it off to Emery Collick who split two defenders to place the ball in the back of the net. The Eagles led 1-0 at the half. 

Lakeland continued to dominate both sides of the ball, creating many opportunities offensively and shutting down Western defensively. With 11 minutes left in the game, a determined Olivia Wells dribbled through four defenders and shot it right past the keeper. Goalkeeper Audrey Buehner made some key saves throughout the game, earning her first shutout of the season as the Eagles finished on top 2-0.

The Eagles will travel to Waterford Mott this Thursday, April 17th at 7pm.
