Tuesday night, the Girls Varsity Soccer team fell in a fast-paced, physical game against home town rival, Milford, 1-3.
All 3 Milford goals were scored in the first half as the Lady Eagles fought hard against a fast Milford squad. The Eagles would not be dismissed and were finally rewarded when Jessica Forbis (9) scored the Eagles' solitary goal late in the second half after a scrappy battle in the box. Collectively the varsity goalies, Jessica Forbis & Lucia Serrano, saved 8 more shots on goal holding the Mavericks to only 3.
During half time coaches, players and fans celebrated the Lakeland Varsity Seniors and their parents in a beautiful tribute. Congratulations and best of luck to our Varsity Seniors: Lucia Serrano Blazquez, Sarah Bucki, Isabella Koje, Allexa Leece, Camila Martinez, Rachel Nunnold, Mariah Shaver, and Dani Vincent.
