Friday, a number of student-athletes from the Boys Track team competed in the Golden Triangle Meet of Champions at Saline High School.

Harrison Grzymkowski placed 6th in the 1600m (also counted as a 6th in the mile) with a 4:21.33 (mile time was 4:23.15).

Tyler Mann placed 12th in the afternoon finals of the 800m run with a time of 2:04.29. Mann also finished 20th in the 1600m race with a time 4:34.95.

Sam Lochkos ran the 3200m, finishing with a time of 10:50.80. Kiree Kailimai finished 17th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.19.

Lakeland's 4x800m relay team (Kailimai, Lochkos, Christian Miller, and Dillon Rogers) finished with a time of 9:18.64.

In the field events, David Vella finished 2nd in the high jump, clearing the same height (6' 4") as the winner but with more attempts taken. Collin Baert cleared 5' 6" to finish 13th. Brady Detter took 3rd in the pole vault, clearing a height of 13' 6". Ryan Veres took 13th in shot put (42' 3").
