Yesterday, the Boys Track and Field team opened up its 2019 season by hosting a LVC Tri-meet with Waterford Kettering and Walled Lake Western. The outcomes were in the air til the final races of the meet, but the Eagles prevailed in both head-to-head matchups. The scores: Lakeland 71 Kettering 66 and Lakeland 81 WL Western 56.

First place finishes during the meet included the 4x800m relay team, Harrison Grzymkowski (1600m, 3200m), Kiree Kailimai (300 hurdles), Tyler Mann (800m), Brady Detter (pole vault), David Vella (high jump), and the 4x400m relay team which had to win to earn the victory over Kettering.
