Last Friday, the Hockey team started out the New Year with a 2-2 OT tie against LVC foe Lakes Area United.

Junior Ryan Danielson brought his 'A' game scoring both goals for the Eagles. The first was a blistering snapshot from the left circle that beat the Lakes Area goaltender over his left shoulder (assists to Elliot Smith and Paul Baker). Lakes answered to tie it up.

Danielson scored again on a rebound (Nate Dell and Adam Trzcinski) but Lakes tied it up again and the game fizzled out to a 2-2 tie.

Coach Ronayne: "We came out flat and uninspired. Lakes Area dominated the first period and we hit the snooze button one too many times for a win. Danielson scored two huge goals to keep us in the game. Overall not our best effort."

Join LHS Varsity hockey this Wednesday for their tilt with the Milford Mavericks. Puck drops at 7:20 pm at the historic Lakeland Ice Arena.
