On Saturday night, the Lakeland Varsity Hockey Team took on the Walled Lake Northern Knights in the Clash for a Cause fundraising event. Both teams raised $8,532 dollars to be donated to St. Jude’s childhood cancer research.  Lakeland Arena was filled with fans as the two teams skated to a 3-2 Lakeland victory.  

Leading the Lakeland charge was Ben Getzen-2 goals and 1 assist, Owen Arnold-1 goal and 1 assist, Ryan Ramboer-2 assists, Cam Slicker-1 assist, and Jacob Lewis-1 assist. The Eagles outshot the Knights 37-18, while goalie Jason Slicker made some remarkable saves and got the win in goal.
