Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball wins Gold Bracket of Mt. Morris tournament

On Saturday, August 24th, the Girls JV Volleyball team won the Gold Bracket in the Mt. Morris Tournament.
The Eagles defeated Walled Lake Central in two sets, 25-12 and 25-3. In the second set, Myla Hughes served 21 consecutive points. Lakeland also defeated Ovid-Elsie (25-21, 25-23) and split with Lansing Catholic (25-22, 23-25). In the LC match, Aubrey Napinsky notched 4 point-winning blocks.
In the Championship match, the Eagles defeated Imlay City, 25-20 and 25-14. Rachel Barber provided some great assists in that match.
