The JV Volleyball team closed out its series of conference games at home against South Lyon East, sweeping the Cougars with set scores of 25-9, 25-17, and 25-11. Ainsley Altermatt having her match of the season played aggressively and making nearly every swing a kill. In the second set, the Eagles were down 9-15; Kenzie McCombs stepped up to the serving line and went on a 13-point run saving the set, and bringing the JV up to 22-15! The Eagles left everything on the floor, played for points, played smart, and played with confidence. The Lakeland JV finished 7-1 in the conference, with the overall set scores at 21-3, NEVER getting swept.

Next week is JV’s last week of the season, and with their most packed week traveling to Gabriel Richard on Thursday, then to Rochester Adams Thursday, then closing out their memorable season at Livonia’s “Beast of the East” tournament competing against plenty of state ranked volleyball programs!
