Wednesday, the Girls Golf program hosted its annual Best Ball Tournament, an 18-hole event in which two players from a school combine their best score by hole to create a Best Ball score for the twosome.

Lakeland had 3 duos competing, and taking the two best scores, finished with a 200, good for 5th out of 9 teams.

The duo of senior Kate Norek and sophomore Gretchen Ullrich finished with a best ball score of 90 to earn Medalist honors for the Eagles. Junior Kathryn Tooman and sophomore Abby Deloney combined for a score of 110. Junior Lexie Martin and freshman Karolina Spiewak finished with a score of 113.

Two individual highlights: Kathryn Tooman's own ball score of 113 was her best 18-hole score ever, and Kate Norek missed a hole-in-one by less than two feet.
