Friday, January 24th, the Girls Junior Varsity Basketball team came up short in their bid to avenge an early season loss to Walled Lake Northern, falling 19-16.  Lakeland wasted no time getting after the Knights with their ¾ court press.  Turnovers and fast break opportunities fueled a 10-2 first quarter capped off by a Jaylyn Rhines 3-point shot at the buzzer.  Walled Lake Northern responded in the second quarter using their size to get second chance opportunities.  The Knights were able to go on a 10-0 run during the quarter to take a 12-10 lead into halftime.  The Eagles come out of half strong defensively holding the Knights to 1 point in the quarter and scoring 4 points of their own.  The fourth quarter was well played with Lakeland leading most of the way.  A couple of well-timed baskets by the Knights in the last 2:00 was the difference, leading to the Knights victory 19-16.
