Huron Valley United Gymnastics team places 2nd at MHSAA Regional; team qualifies for State Meet next weekend

Saturday, March 1st, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics Team had an amazing day at the MHSAA Regional Competition held in Birmingham coming away with a 2nd place finish and a ticket to the State Competition in Grand Rapids next weekend! Farmington United came in 1st place with a 145.925, followed by HVU with a 140.525 and Birmingham with a 134.850. The top 12 teams will compete at Kenowa Hills High School for the state title next Friday.
Individually the team will be sending 9 gymnasts to compete on Saturday for state titles on events and all-around.
Lakeland gymnasts: Sophomore Gabby Marino placed 8th on vault and beam with 8.65 and 8.6. Junior Haylee Smith placed 4th on vault-8.85. Senior Mckenna Herman placed 4th on bars- 8.325. Freshman Alayna LInce placed 6th all-around-34.55, 5th on bars-8.275, 5th on beam-8.925 and 8th on floor 8.8.
Milford gymnasts: Lexi Hincka placed 3rd on vault-8.95 and 8th on bars-7.975. Senior Sophia Stankov place 3rd on vault- 8.95. Senior Kaitlynn Elkins placed 7th on beam, 8.675. Junior Tatum Langley placed 7th in vault-8.25, 4th on beam-8.975 and 7th on floor-8.75. Junior Stella Musialowski was the D1 floor champion with a 9.475, she also placed 2nd on vault-9.45, 3rd on bars-8.4, 3rd on beam-9.05 and 36.475 and 2nd all-around.
