The Huron Valley United Gymnastics team narrowly edged out Fowlerville by .025 on Saturday afternoon. HVU scored a 133.475 and Fowlerville a 133.45. Top scorers for the HVU team were Lakeland senior Ava Barwikowski with a 8.95 on vault and floor. Milford freshman Julia Witkos scored a 7.8 on bars and 8.725 on beam. Milford senior Megan Sclabassi scored a 8.475 on bars and 8.775 on floor. Milford sophomore, Sophia Stankov scored a 8.5 on vault.

The meet went very well and the team earned many regional qualifying scores. 10 of the 21 girls on the team are first year high school gymnasts so our team is fairly young. Next up is the Fowlerville Invite on Friday night
