In the season opener between Lakeland Walled Lake Central, Lakeland fell short to the  Walled Lake Central Vikings 2-3. The Eagles took the first two sets from the Vikings, behind the great play of their seniors Morgan Graham, Morgan Spathelf, Lizzie Virgin, Sydney Casey, Allison Simpson. Morgan Graham did a great job as the anchor of our defense before leaving at the end of the second game with an injury.  In the third set, the Eagles took the lead with the help of great offense by Morgan Spathelf and great assists by Allison Simpson. However Central fought back, in the end, to make it 2-1 Eagles. The Vikings took the fourth set from the Eagles to make it two sets each. Sarah Daniel did a great job stepping in as Libero for the Eagles due to Graham’s injury in the second set. The Vikings ended the game with taking the lead over the Eagles in the fifth set to win the game.
