Huron Valley United Girls Swim & Dive sends its divers to Oxford Invite; divers bring him 1st place trophy

Saturday, September 21st, the Huron Valley United Girls Swim & Dive team sent five of its divers to compete in the Oxford Wildcats Diving Invite. Competing against strong teams from Oxford, Rochester Adams and Macomb Dakota, among others, the team put together strong placings in both the 11 and 6 Dive competitions and won the event, scoring 38 points, 8 ahead of 2nd Place Dakota.
In the 11-Dive Event, junior Lola Beer built off her winning performance at last week's Huron Valley Invite Diving competition by improving her score by 25 points to place 3rd (364), while junior Leah Huntoon showed her 304 point personal best performance last week wasn't an accident, putting up a score of 303 to take 6th.
On the 6-Dive side of the competition, junior Kennedy Foote placed 2nd while sophomore Mallory McArthur took 7th and sophomore Dani Orangio took 16th.
The divers rejoin their teammates to open up their LVC schedule @ Waterford Kettering this Thursday as they Take on Waterford United.
