Wednesday night, the Huron Valley United Girls Swim and Dive team opened up its season with an out of conference matchup with Troy (OAA White). The team won 9 of 12 events, with numerous personal best performances en route to a 110 to 77 victory.

Athletes of the meet were sophomore diver Leah Huntoon and sophomore swimmer Amelie Strickfaden for both achieving lifetime best marks and their first individual Oakland County qualifying score and times, respectively.

The team moves to 1-0 (0-0) on the season with its next competition being the Huron Valley Invite with Diving Friday 9/8 @ 6pm, and Swimming Saturday 9/9 @ 12pm, both @ Milford High School.
