Newly formed Huron Valley United Girls Swim team defeats Hartland 109-74 in opening meet

Last Thursday, the newly formed Huron Valley United Girls Swim team competed in its first meet, hosting Hartland in an event held at Lakeland. It was a great start for the Lakeland-Milford group as it defeated the visiting team, 109-74.

Emily Dexter took first in the 200 Free, Lauren McCaul took first in the 200 IM and the 500 Free, Karolina Spiewak took first in the 100 Breaststroke, and the 200 Free and 400 Free Relay teams both took first.

In addition, the following swimmers earned qualifying times for meets to be held later this year:

Medley Relay- Anna Malik- Karolina Spiewak- Elle Dameworth-Coral Hebert

200 Freestyle- Emily Dexter

200 Individual Medley- Spiewak, Lauren McCaul

100 Freestyle- Paxton Moore

200 Freestyle Relay- Dexter-Mallory Armstrong-McCaul

100 Backstroke- Malik

400 Freestyle Relay- McCaul-Dexter-Malik-Dameworth

 

Oakland County Consideration Cuts

200 Freestyle- Mya Hutchinson

50 Freestyle- Dameworth, Hebert, Armstrong

100 Freestyle- Dexter, Armstrong

500 Freestyle- McCaul

100 Breaststroke- Spiewak

The Athletes of the Meet were Olivia Schneider and Brooke Stec for breaking 30 seconds in the 50 freestyle for the first time (27.83-28.28 respectively) and Anne VanDenHeuvel for completing a legal diving list after only 2 weeks of practice
