This past Saturday saw the Lakeland Girls' Swimming & Diving travel to Walled Lake Northern to participate in the 2019 Walled Lake Invitational. The Lady Eagles finished fourth behind Northville, Farmington, and Walled Lake Northern. Lakeland had medalist performances by Jessica Holzer (2nd - Diving), Gianna Sulesky (3rd - Diving), Paxton Moore (2nd - 200 Free & 4th - 500 Free), Emily Dexter (3rd - 200 IM & 2nd - 100 Free), and Peyton Michalski (6th - 50 Free). Strong performances, however, were had by all the girls as the team combined to achieve 12 season bests from 17 individual swims with several also being personal bests.
This week, the Eagles will travel to Howell on Tuesday before returning home on Thursday to face South Lyon. Both meets start at 600pm. Tuesday's meet versus Howell will take place at Parker Middle School.
