Saturday, the Girls Swim team finished in 15th place out of 26 teams at the Oakland County Championships held at Waterford Mott.
IA senior Kate Doyle had the highest finish in the swimming events, taking 5th place in the 500 freestyle with a state qualifying time of 5:07.18. Doyle also finished 9th in the 200 freestyle, again posting a state qualifying time of 1:56.76.
Freshman Elise McCaul earned a trip to the State Meet by posting a time of 5:18.12 in the 500 freestyle, good enough for 13th place.
The 4x50 freestyle relay team finished in 11th place with a season-best time of 1:43.09. That team included McCaul, Paxton Moore, Emily Dexter, and Doyle.
On Friday, senior Stella Fairbanks finished 3rd in the diving competition.
