Lakeland Competitive Cheer had a strong showing at the Oxford Mardi Gras Invitational this past Saturday. The team's focus after the holiday break had been on improving round scores from the previous competition, and the Eagles were successful, increasing Round 1 scores by 8 points to 222.2, Round 2 scores by 12 points to 202.9, and Round 3 scores by 13 points to 278.2. Overall the Eagles Competitive Cheer team was up nearly 33 points over their last showing, scoring 703.3 and ending the day in 4th place.
The Eagles will be looking for even more improvement as they face the LVC teams in the first league meet of the season at home this Wednesday, January 15th, at 6 pm. Come out and show your support for your 2019 MHSAA regionals qualifying Eagles team!
