Saturday, the Lakeland Cheer team wrapped up its annual Valentine’s Day Invitational by placing third among Division 1 teams. Lakeland had its highest score in more than two years with a 735, which included a record 308 in the third round.

Lakeland is led by seniors Keegan Croteau, Megan Dewar, Kenzie Hanner and Abby Ziebarth, who were all recognized for their success following the competition on Saturday. The Eagles have seven sophomores and six freshmen as well.

They will compete in district finals this Saturday at Novi starting at 11 a.m. Come support the girls in their effort to keep their season going. The top four teams in the district advance to regionals.
